Academy. Engage learners with innovation and creativity through real-world coding experiences designed for all skill-levels. The Root rt1 Coding Robot fits into virtually any learning environment. Distance Learning The Root rt1 coding robots companion iRobot Coding app is designed for coding, exploring and learning at home! When the time comes, students will be able to continue their learning in the classroom with their real Root coding robots. Hybrid Learning Making it easy to bring classroom learning into the home, students can access the iRobot Coding app at home to practice their coding skills before returning to the classroom and sharing their discoveries (while physically distanced!) In-Person Learning Abide by social distancing guidelines by dividing students into small groups with a shared robot. Students can work on their individual devices before connecting with the robot and taking turns watching their code come to life! Featuring three progressive Learning Levels, the Root Coding Robot\’s companion iRobot Coding App provides a personalized coding experience designed to continually evolve with your skills. Graphical Coding: Use drag-and-drop, graphical blocks to teach the fundamental logic skills of coding. No reading skills required! Hybrid Coding: Build coding fluency by introducing hybrid blocks that feature a mix of graphics and coding script. Full-Text Coding: Use full-text code to teach the structure and syntax of professional coding languages, including Python. iRobot Features & Capabilities include: Drive & Turn: Use code to direct the Root coding robots across flat surfaces forwards, backwards, and even in circles. Glow & Flash: Light up the room by coding the Root coding robots to glow, blink, or flash the colors of the rainbow. Bump & Adapt: Help the Root coding robots navigate its space by bouncing off objects as you explore. Climb & Defy: Race up, down, and across magnetic whiteboard surfaces using the Root rt1 coding robots magnetic belly. * – Exclusive to the rt1 model. Drop & Draw: Bring your canvas to life by programming the Root coding robots to raise or lower markers so it can draw while it drives. Wipe & Erase: Start with a clean slate by programming the Root rt1 coding robot to raise or lower its built-in eraser to erase whiteboard surfaces. For dry-erase markers only. * – Exclusive to the rt1 model. See in RGB: 32 optical color sensors let the Root rt1 coding robot detect different colors across the RGB spectrum so you can program it to follow paths, dodge obstacles, or even become a musical instrument. * – Exclusive to the rt1 model. Illuminate & Act: Instruct the Root coding robots to complete different actions by changing the illumination of the environment from light to dark. Plays Music: Transform the Root Coding Robots into musical instruments by programming your own compositions and robot melodies. Tap & Trigger: Plays Music: Four top tap zones recognize when each zone is pressed, prompting the Root coding robots to follow commands. The Robot Coding App Learn to Code as a Familly: Through guided lessons and projects, children and adults alike can learn the fundamentals of coding and explore more advanced concepts as their skill increases. Games and Challenges: Built-in games, art projects and logic challenges pack hours of fun for any interest. Intuitive Coding Interface: Root is the only coding companion that grows with your child by seamlessly switching the coding interface from graphical blocks for non-readers to full text for advanced coders. Progressively Challenging Level 1: Graphical Coding: Graphical blocks teach essential logic skills of coding. Kids problem solve with Root with real code by drawing, playing music, and making games.Ideal for Ages 4+ Level 2: Block Coding: Level 2 gives kids more control of the code with a more detailed interface. The hybrid drag and drop language builds computational fluency. Ideal for Ages 7+ Level 3: Full Text Coding: Advancing to Level 3 allows you to solve problems and learn the syntax and structure of professional coding languages in Swift.Ideal for Ages 12+
